Forró Dance Class & Night Tour in Rio de Janeiro

Forró is a traditional partner dance from northeast Brazil, danced close together to lively accordion music. Samba is more about rhythm and solo movement, while forró is about connecting with your partner. Many guests try both during their trip to Rio.

No experience or partner needed. Our forró class is beginner-friendly, and most guests arrive solo. Your instructor guides you through the basic steps and makes sure everyone has someone to dance with.

Comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in. Rio nights are warm, so light clothing works best. Avoid brand-new shoes — you'll be dancing for hours!

We meet in Ipanema at 6:30 pm. Transportation to the club after the class is included, so you don't need to worry about getting around Rio at night.

Yes. A tour guide stays with the group the entire night, from the class to the club and back. Many guests travel solo, and safety is always our top priority.

Forró is danced indoors, so rain doesn't stop the fun. In the rare case we need to cancel, we'll contact you in advance to reschedule or arrange a refund.
